Electrical Engineer

About the role

Motomedia Reflomax Limited is looking for a qualified Electrical Engineer to oversee the electrical aspects of billboard installations across Lagos. You will be responsible for ensuring that all lighting, power, and control systems are installed safely, operate reliably, and meet industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and execute electrical work for LED, digital, and static billboard installations.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems at advertising sites.
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting, timers, power sources, and control panels.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with creative and operations teams to assess technical feasibility of proposed structures.
• Coordinate with external contractors and utility providers for power connections and upgrades.
• Maintain electrical drawings, schematics, and as‑built documentation.
• Inspect sites for electrical risks and recommend solutions to improve power reliability and safety.
• Support diesel generator setup, maintenance, and energy usage tracking for powered billboards.
• Identify cost‑effective, energy‑efficient solutions such as solar integration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in electrical installations, preferably for outdoor structures or advertising.
• Strong understanding of load distribution, cabling, and lighting systems.
• Hands‑on experience with LED board installation and control units.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to travel to site locations as required.
