DevOps Engineer – Full‑time (Lagos)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in Lagos. You will be responsible for building and maintaining automated pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring reliable, secure deployments across our software projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, testing, and deployments.
• Manage and configure cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate pipelines into the software development lifecycle.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Implement security best practices and maintain compliance with data protection standards.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and orchestration of servers and containers using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Kubernetes.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve automation, scalability, and efficiency.
• Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to incidents.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in a software development environment.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, version control, and agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid knowledge of networking, security, and system administration concepts.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
