Control System Engineer – Industrial Automation

About the role

INTECH Process Automation Nigeria Limited is seeking a Control System Engineer to design, implement and commission advanced control solutions for the oil & gas, petrochemical and energy sectors. You will work on Distributed Control Systems, Safety Instrumented Systems and Fire & Gas Systems, ensuring projects meet international standards and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement hardware for DCS, SIS and FGS, focusing on DeltaV, Yokogawa, PI and GE Mark VI platforms.
• Interpret functional requirement specifications, P&IDs, cause‑and‑effect diagrams and other project documents.
• Perform system testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and on‑site commissioning and start‑up.
• Ensure compliance with major industrial standards throughout all project phases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems.
• Hands‑on experience with 2–3 PLC platforms (Rockwell Automation/Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric).
• Exposure to 1–2 DCS platforms (DeltaV, Yokogawa, GE Mark VI).
• Strong knowledge of field instrumentation, control valves and calibration concepts.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and solar power integration.
