Colour Matcher

About the role

The Colour Matcher will operate Ignite Paints’ depot tinting machine to deliver accurate colour matches for walk‑in and pre‑ordered customers. Working closely with the customer service team, you will ensure a smooth experience from colour request to product handover.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the depot tinting machine to fulfil on‑spot colour requests.
• Receive colour requests via physical samples, photos, shade cards or colour codes and produce accurate matches promptly.
• Advise customers on colour selection, finish options and product suitability.
• Maintain detailed records of each colour job, including formula, pigment ratios, batch size and customer details.
• Label completed colour batches correctly before handover or dispatch.
• Monitor pigment stock levels and raise replenishment requests to procurement.
• Keep the tinting area and machine clean and report any faults immediately.
• Collaborate with the Customer Service Representative to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Escalate complex technical colour queries to the factory colour matcher or production lead when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of an HND in a related field.
