Cleaner

About the role

The Cleaner will ensure that the café, kitchen, dining, and other designated areas at Mamatcha are kept spotless and hygienic. This full‑time, onsite role supports daily operations by maintaining a clean environment for staff and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize café, kitchen, dining areas, restrooms, storage and other assigned spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and wipe floors, walls, windows, tables, chairs, counters and surfaces.
• Disinfect high‑touch points such as door handles, switches and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, sinks, work surfaces and surrounding areas.
• Wash, sanitize and store cleaning tools and equipment after use.
• Empty waste bins, dispose of waste properly and keep waste areas hygienic.
• Monitor washrooms and replenish soap, tissue and paper towels as needed.
• Report spills, damaged equipment, pest activity, leaks or safety concerns immediately.
• Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals, labeling and storage.
• Support periodic deep‑cleaning activities and cleaning before opening, during operations and after closing.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in cleaning, housekeeping or related field (preferred).
• Good understanding of basic cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail, reliability, punctuality and strong work ethic.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, reach and lift cleaning materials for extended periods.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as scheduled.
