Civil Engineer – Design & Construction Lead

About the role

The role involves leading civil and structural engineering activities for a major gas field development project. You will ensure design compliance, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and supervise on‑site construction to deliver high‑quality infrastructure on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve all civil designs, shop drawings, early works drawings, MTOs and technical studies.
• Ensure design basis, specifications and international codes are adhered to throughout the detailed engineering phase.
• Analyze EPC contractor proposals for compliance with standards.
• Coordinate trades and disciplines to optimise designs and resolve civil/structural interfaces.
• Supervise site construction activities such as foundations, pipe sleepers, support structures, plant roads, shore protection and dredging.
• Approve RFIs at each construction milestone and manage route‑survey verification.
• Participate in audits, HAZID/HAZOP, 3D model reviews and project reviews.
• Follow up on red‑line mark‑ups, as‑built documentation and close‑out procedures.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in civil and structural engineering within EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of design standards, specifications and international codes.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex construction sites.
• Experience with audits, HAZID/HAZOP and 3D model reviews.
