About the role
The CEO will lead the secretariat and national advisory programme of a leading impact‑investing ecosystem‑building organisation in Nigeria, reporting to the Board of Trustees. This role will shape the trajectory of impact investing in Africa’s largest economy, working at the intersection of policy, capital and enterprise.
Key responsibilities
- Set and drive the organisation’s strategic direction to build a credible, well‑governed Nigerian impact‑investing ecosystem.
- Convene and align government, private sector and civil‑society stakeholders and lead policy advocacy to advance enabling regulations.
- Lead fundraising and donor relationship management to secure and sustain the funding base.
- Provide executive oversight of core programmes, ensuring measurable impact and transparent reporting.
- Lead and develop the secretariat team while upholding high standards of financial and organisational governance.
Required profile
- Deep understanding of Nigeria’s impact‑investing, development finance and nonprofit governance landscape.
- Proven ability to mobilise resources and manage senior‑level donor relationships.
- Strong policy advocacy and government‑relations capability.
- Senior leadership experience in development finance, impact investing or related fields.
- Hardworking, ethical and governance‑minded with unimpeachable integrity.
