Cashier – Customer Payments & Register Management

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Cashier to join our team in Lagos. The role involves handling customer payments, maintaining accurate cash records and supporting daily financial operations. You will work closely with the finance department to ensure smooth transaction flow.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process customer payments accurately via cash, POS and other accepted methods.
• Issue receipts and ensure every transaction is properly recorded.
• Balance the cash register at the start and end of each shift without discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate daily transaction records and generate reports.
• Monitor and report cash shortages, float discrepancies, or suspicious transactions.

Required profile

• Minimum Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar customer‑facing role is an advantage.
• Strong numerical skills and ability to handle cash with accuracy and integrity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Honest, responsible, and highly detail‑oriented.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Professional appearance and conduct at all times.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS systems.
