Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth for DreamWorks Global Logistics in Lagos. The role focuses on identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and delivering revenue targets within the logistics sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
• Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
• Generate leads, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, key stakeholders, and strategic partners.
• Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, and Finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and quotations.
• Manage the sales pipeline and maintain accurate activity records.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and client acquisition targets.
• Represent the company at industry events and networking forums.
• Provide regular performance and market intelligence reports to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of business development or sales experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding or supply chain.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
• Strong negotiation, communication and relationship‑management abilities.
• Analytical, strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using CRM software.
