Accountant – Travel Agency

About the role

We are looking for an experienced accountant to handle financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, payroll, audit support, and travel‑industry accounting for our travel agency. The role requires strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and the ability to work with international financial transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Financial reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Budget management: Monitor expenses, revenues, and cash flow.
• Tax compliance: Ensure timely filing of taxes and adherence to Nigerian financial regulations.
• Payroll processing: Manage staff salaries and benefits accurately.
• Audit support: Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation.
• Travel industry accounting: Handle reconciliations related to ticketing, bookings, and international transactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry.
• Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and international financial practices.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
