Account Officer

About the role

Swift Consulting is seeking an Account Officer to join its finance team in Lagos. This entry‑level position offers the opportunity to work within the shipping and logistics sector, handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks and supporting financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documents.
• Record daily income and expenses and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
• Assist in payroll processing and statutory remittances.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare periodic financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
• Support budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
• Assist with audits and other accounting‑related tasks.

Required profile

• ND/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in an accounting role.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional accounting certification is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using accounting software.
