Youth Peace Champion

About the role

The Youth Peace Champion will work on‑site in Nigeria to promote peace, unity and social cohesion within local communities. This role involves facilitating youth dialogues, workshops and outreach activities that encourage non‑violent conflict resolution and mutual understanding.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and facilitate youth dialogues, workshops and community outreach programmes focused on peacebuilding.
• Collaborate with community leaders, schools and youth groups to design and implement peace‑focused campaigns and awareness initiatives.
• Document activities, report outcomes to program coordinators and share success stories and challenges from the field.
• Support socio‑economic and health‑focused projects aligned with FreshBreeze’s mission.

Required profile

• Strong interest in peacebuilding, social justice, community development and youth empowerment.
• Effective communication skills, able to engage diverse audiences and listen actively.
• Demonstrated leadership potential, teamwork abilities and reliability in coordinating group activities.
• Ability to work respectfully with people from different backgrounds, cultures and age groups within Nigerian communities.
• Willingness to participate in on‑site trainings, field visits and community engagement activities in Nigeria.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local Nigerian languages is an added advantage.
