Wine Shop Operation Manager

About the role

PC Recruit Nigeria is recruiting an Operation Manager for a wine shop in Marina, Lagos. The role covers day-to-day shop operations, staff supervision, inventory control, sales monitoring and supplier coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth business activities.
• Manage stock levels, monitor inventory and prevent shortages, damage and loss.
• Ensure proper storage, handling and display of wines and other beverages.
• Supervise sales attendants, cashiers and other shop personnel.
• Monitor sales performance, set targets and implement strategies to increase revenue.
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints and relationships to ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate purchasing, stock replenishment and supplier relationships.
• Monitor daily sales, cash handling, expenses and sales records; ensure accurate pricing, labelling and stock documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and attractive displays.
• Ensure compliance with business regulations and alcohol sales requirements.
• Prepare daily and monthly sales, inventory and operational reports for management.
• Identify ways to improve profitability, reduce costs and grow the customer base.

Required profile

• HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in retail operations, preferably in a wine shop, liquor store, supermarket or beverage retail business.
• Good knowledge of wines, spirits and other alcoholic beverages is an advantage.
• Strong sales, customer service, inventory management and leadership skills.
• Basic accounting and cash-handling knowledge.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, honesty, attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
