About the role
The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Warehouse Officer to manage inventory and asset functions at its Yola office in Adamawa State, Nigeria. The role supports humanitarian programmes by ensuring that stock is accurately recorded, stored safely, and distributed efficiently to meet the needs of vulnerable communities.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct periodic cycle counts in line with standard operating procedures to maintain accurate stock records.
- Lead fiscal year‑end inventory audits and produce comprehensive inventory reports.
- Collaborate with programme teams to develop and implement reliable stock distribution plans, preventing grant closures or expiration of items.
- Provide ongoing training and support to storekeepers and other staff on inventory management processes.
- Maintain compliance with IRC’s asset management policies and ensure proper documentation of all movements.
Required profile
- Experience in warehouse or inventory management, preferably within an NGO or humanitarian context.
- Familiarity with cycle‑count procedures and end‑of‑year stock reconciliation.
- Ability to train and mentor storekeepers and coordinate with programme staff.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate record‑keeping.
