Warehouse Officer

About the role

The Warehouse Officer will oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of wines, spirits, raw materials, packaging, and finished goods at Nigeria Distilleries Limited. This role ensures inventory integrity, product quality, and compliance with safety and industry regulations within the farm tank warehouse.

Key responsibilities

• Manage receipt, inspection, and proper storage of all incoming materials and finished products.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular counts, reconciliations, and use of warehouse management systems.
• Coordinate loading and unloading operations, adhering to SOPs, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Implement FIFO/FEFO stock rotation and monitor storage conditions to prevent deterioration.
• Document all warehouse transactions, including receipts, transfers, dispatches, and adjustments.
• Conduct routine inspections of tanks, facilities, and equipment, reporting defects promptly.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure timely material availability.
• Enforce health, safety, environmental, and food‑beverage regulatory compliance.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and support audit processes.
• Optimize warehouse space utilization and material flow for efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control or supply chain within FMCG, beverage, wines & spirits or manufacturing.
• Experience with tank storage operations and compliance with beverage industry standards is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong inventory reconciliation and control capabilities.
