About the role
This role is critical to maintaining the efficiency, accuracy and integrity of warehouse operations. The person will manage the flow of merchandise, ensure proper documentation and uphold strict standards for inventory control and safety. Adhering to established SOPs and FIFO practices supports seamless logistics, reduces losses and contributes to operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain an accurate inventory of goods entering and leaving the warehouse.
- Receive and document all incoming deliveries and returns precisely.
- Identify and report missing, lost or damaged materials to the supervisor promptly.
- Ensure items are securely packed, properly labelled and handled carefully during shipping.
- Support the organisation and layout of the warehouse in line with standard operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe and professional warehouse environment at all times.
- Store received stock according to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
- Assist in preparing management reports regularly and take part in spot checks and full stock-taking.
