Waitress – Part‑time

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and efficient waitress to join our team on a part‑time basis. The role involves delivering high‑quality service to guests in a busy restaurant environment in Ibadan. You will be the face of the establishment, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for every customer.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, seat them promptly, and provide menus and relevant information.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve meals and drinks promptly, maintaining presentation standards.
• Answer guest inquiries about menu items, ingredients, and recommendations.
• Process bills and payments accurately, documenting transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper setup of dining areas before, during, and after service.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns, escalating to supervisors when necessary.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Adhere to hygiene, grooming, and food‑safety standards at all times.
• Support fellow service staff during peak periods and special events.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years proven experience as a waitress/waiter in a restaurant, hotel, or similar hospitality setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with a pleasant, professional demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure.
• Good physical stamina for standing and moving for extended periods.
• Basic numeracy for handling orders and payments accurately.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
