Volunteer Coordinator (Part‑time, Remote)

About the role

The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part‑time, remote position that supports CIELO’s programs by organizing and assisting volunteers. You will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and ensuring volunteers have the training and information they need to succeed.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard and train volunteers for various community initiatives.
• Coordinate volunteer schedules and maintain accurate participation records.
• Manage ongoing communication, provide feedback and support to keep volunteers engaged.
• Collaborate with staff to identify volunteer needs and support community outreach activities.
• Develop and implement volunteer recognition efforts aligned with CIELO’s mission.

Required profile

• Strong skills in volunteer management, training and community outreach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build positive relationships.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with nonprofit or community‑based organisations and interest in social impact.
• Proficiency with basic office software and online communication tools (email, video conferencing, shared documents).
• Relevant education or training in social services, nonprofit management or related fields is an advantage.
