Veterinarian Doctor (Livestock)

About the role

We are seeking a Veterinarian Doctor to provide comprehensive medical care for ruminant livestock in Ibadan and Oyo State. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases while ensuring high standards of animal welfare.

Key responsibilities

• Examine ruminant animals to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
• Perform surgical procedures and prescribe medications and vaccinations.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• Conduct diagnostic tests such as X‑rays and blood work.
• Provide preventative care including vaccinations and parasite control.
• Educate clients on animal health and maintain accurate medical records.
• Collaborate with veterinary staff and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in livestock veterinary practice.
• Strong knowledge of livestock welfare and health standards.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and animal health inspection.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
