Urgent Resource Mobilization Officer – Fixed-Term Contract

About the role

The Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organisation (WEWE) is seeking a results‑oriented Resource Mobilization Officer on a fixed‑term basis. The role will lead the organization’s efforts to secure sustainable funding and build strategic partnerships that advance its mission to support widows, orphans, vulnerable women and children in Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement resource mobilization strategies, including crowdfunding campaigns and placement of donation boxes.
• Research and identify funding opportunities, write and submit grant proposals, and coordinate fundraising campaigns.
• Support digital fundraising initiatives such as YouTube monetization and other online income‑generation activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and local organizations to ensure long‑term sustainability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Development Studies, International Relations, Public Health, Mass Communication, Business Administration, English or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in resource mobilization, fundraising, donor engagement, business development, partnership development or grant acquisition within NGOs, development agencies, faith‑based organisations or social enterprises.
• Demonstrated integrity, commitment to WEWE’s mission and ability to work collaboratively with local stakeholders.
