Telemarketer – Vendor Acquisition (Contract)

About the role

Our client operates a digital marketplace that connects event vendors with organizers across Nigeria. As a Telemarketer – Vendor Acquisition, you will reach out to pre‑identified vendors, introduce the platform, and guide them through registration to boost their visibility and business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Make at least 80 outbound calls daily to vendors from the provided database.
• Explain the benefits of listing on the Event Vendor Management System, including free listing for the first 6‑12 months.
• Assist vendors with the registration process and answer basic questions.
• Handle objections using the approved call guide and follow up with incomplete registrations.
• Record all call outcomes in the Daily Call Log and submit the log at the end of each workday.
• Achieve a target of 30 new vendor listings per week (approximately 120 per month).
• Participate in weekly performance review meetings.

Required profile

• Strong verbal communication in English; knowledge of Yoruba, Igbo, or Hausa is a plus.
• Clear, confident, and persuasive telephone manner.
• Basic proficiency with a smartphone and computer for data entry.
• Ability to follow a structured call guide while adapting naturally.
• Good listening, record‑keeping, and data‑entry skills.

Required skills

What we offer

• Contract position for 3 months with a monthly salary of NGN 110,000.
• On‑site work in Ikoyi, Lagos State (candidates from Ikoyi, Lekki Phase 1, Victoria Island, Yaba or Ebute Metta preferred).
