Telemarketer (Entry Level)

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Telemarketer to join our team in Port Harcourt. The role involves reaching out to prospective and existing customers to promote our products and services, while building a strong pipeline of leads.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to introduce the company and explain product benefits.
• Generate, qualify and maintain a consistent pipeline of leads.
• Follow up with prospects via phone, WhatsApp, email or other approved channels.
• Schedule appointments, meetings or product demonstrations for qualified prospects.
• Handle objections professionally and provide appropriate solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of calls, customer information, leads and follow‑up activities.
• Achieve daily, weekly and monthly call and sales targets.
• Convert qualified prospects into customers or sales opportunities.
• Gather customer feedback and relay relevant information to the sales or management team.
• Prepare regular reports on calls made, leads generated, appointments booked and conversions.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in telemarketing, telesales, customer service or sales (advantageous).
• Excellent verbal communication, active listening and persuasive negotiation skills.
• Confident and friendly telephone manner with the ability to meet call volume and sales targets.
• Strong organizational, follow‑up and customer relationship management abilities.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and able to work independently or as part of a team.
