About the role
The Technical Training Assistant is an entry-level position designed to support the delivery of technical and vocational training. It acts as a key support to instructors, helping bridge the gap between theory and hands-on practice. The role takes part in both classroom and workshop settings, ensuring trainees understand technical principles while keeping the facility safe and efficient.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct assistance to instructors during technical training modules and live demonstrations.
- Guide trainees in understanding foundational technical concepts and carrying out practical assignments.
- Coordinate the setup, organisation and distribution of tools, machinery and educational resources.
- Oversee the correct operation and routine maintenance of all training equipment.
- Track student engagement and offer basic instructional support where needed.
- Aid in identifying and resolving technical issues that arise during hands-on sessions.
- Maintain a secure, tidy and well-organised workshop environment at all times.
