Technical Lead / Chief Engineer – EV Charging Solutions

About the role

Zyvoltis is seeking a Technical Lead / Chief Engineer to own the full technical lifecycle of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across Nigeria. You will lead site surveys, electrical design, installation, hybrid solar‑battery commissioning, and ensure each station meets NEMSA certification standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive site surveys for power supply, cabling, civil works, and solar positioning.
• Develop Site Deployment Plans covering electrical design, equipment layout, and hybrid energy configuration.
• Manage installation of 22 kW ABB Terra DC chargers, solar panels, LFP batteries, and inverters.
• Supervise civil works, electrical installation, and cable routing at each location.
• Commission hybrid solar‑battery‑grid systems and verify performance against design specifications.
• Lead the NEMSA import approval, inspection, and post‑installation certification process for every station.
• Maintain a preventive maintenance schedule with quarterly visits and a 24‑hour fault‑response SLA.
• Produce monthly technical reports on uptime, faults, maintenance activities, and equipment status.

Required profile

• BSc or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Mandatory COREN registration.
• Active NEMSA competence certification or membership.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical installation, power systems, or renewable energy.
• Hands‑on experience with solar PV and battery hybrid systems is strongly preferred.
