Technical Field Advisor – Service Engineer

About the role

The Technical Field Advisor (TFA) acts as Siemens Energy’s on‑site representative, delivering preventive and scheduled maintenance, call‑out services, and commissioning for gas turbine packages. The role combines technical expertise with customer service to ensure reliable operation of rotating equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site preventive and corrective maintenance on gas turbine product lines and packages.
• Execute call‑out services and new unit commissioning activities.
• Identify abnormal sounds, vibrations, and safety issues, taking corrective action to prevent equipment damage.
• Prepare and submit daily reports, material requisitions, and equipment history updates.
• Coordinate personnel and material scheduling for routine maintenance and plant commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, work‑permit systems, and manufacturer recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience with gas turbines and rotating equipment.
• Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering experience.
• Experience working in onshore/offshore environments.
• Proficiency with MS Windows Suite and basic electronic hardware handling.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals for gas turbine engines.
