Technical Bid and Procurement Associate

About the role

The Technical Bid and Procurement Associate will support an oil and gas company in preparing tender submissions and managing procurement activities. This role ensures bid documents are accurate, compliant and submitted on time while assisting with supplier sourcing and quotation analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor tender opportunities and maintain a calendar of submission deadlines.
• Review tender invitations, ITTs, RFQs, RFPs and determine requirements and eligibility.
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather technical, commercial and administrative information for bids.
• Prepare, format and proofread tender submissions and supporting documents.
• Check submissions for accuracy, completeness and compliance before the deadline.
• Support supplier sourcing, request quotations and compare quotations.
• Assist with preparing purchase orders and maintaining procurement and supplier records.
• Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to obtain information and follow up on outstanding items.
• Track bid outcomes and support improvements to future submissions and procurement processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Engineering, Procurement and Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 0–2 years’ experience in procurement, bid or tender preparation, administration or a related role.
• Strong writing, proofreading, organization and attention to detail.
• Good communication and follow‑up skills for coordinating with colleagues, clients and suppliers.
• Willingness to learn procurement procedures, tender requirements and contract documentation.
• Dependable, proactive, ethical and able to handle confidential information professionally.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic spreadsheet calculations and quotation comparisons.
• Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint and shared document collaboration tools.
