Tax Consultant (Remote)

About the role

Machi Kunzult Ltd, a Nigerian technology company providing software, data analysis and business consulting, is hiring a full-time remote Tax Consultant. The consultant provides expert tax advisory services for the company and its clients, delivering accurate, compliant and strategic tax solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze client financial information and identify tax planning opportunities
• Prepare tax computations and returns in line with applicable laws and regulations
• Review and ensure compliance with local and international tax requirements
• Support clients during tax audits and advise on the tax implications of business decisions, transactions and cross-border operations
• Monitor regulatory changes and document tax positions
• Collaborate with technical and consulting teams on project delivery and communicate practical recommendations to non-technical stakeholders

Required profile

• Strong tax planning and advisory skills, including tax-efficient strategies aligned with client objectives
• Tax compliance expertise, including tax reporting, filing obligations and statutory requirements
• Hands-on tax preparation, including returns, schedules and supporting documentation
• Experience with tax audits, including managing audit processes and responding to tax authority queries
• Solid knowledge of tax law and regulations
• Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or a related field; ACCA, ACA, CITN or equivalent certification is an advantage
• Ability to work independently remotely, manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines
