Tailor (Bespoke Garments)

About the role

Rekrut Consulting is hiring a tailor in Lagos (Marina) to design, cut, sew and finish bespoke garments to customer specifications. The role covers everything from taking measurements and creating patterns to operating sewing machines and delivering finished garments on time.

Key responsibilities

• Take customers' measurements accurately and consult with clients on their preferences, styles and requirements.
• Design, cut, sew, alter and repair garments; select fabrics, linings, threads and other materials.
• Create and adjust patterns, carry out fittings and make adjustments.
• Operate and maintain sewing machines, cutting tools and other tailoring equipment.
• Manage multiple orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Advise customers on fabrics, styles, colours and designs, and inspect finished garments for defects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in bespoke or fashion tailoring.
• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
• Experience with bridal, evening wear or high-end garments is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong garment construction and sewing skills and excellent finishing.
• Good knowledge of fabrics, garment construction and finishing techniques.
• Ability to interpret designs and execute them accurately.
