Supply Chain Manager – Pharmaceuticals – West Africa

About the role

The Supply Chain Manager will lead end‑to‑end supply chain operations for pharmaceutical products across West Africa, ensuring timely, cost‑effective, and compliant delivery while meeting regional regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead S&OP processes, forecast demand, and maintain optimal inventory to avoid stockouts and expiries.
• Oversee international procurement, freight, customs clearance, and compliance with West African import regulations.
• Manage warehouse operations, 3PL partners, and secondary distribution networks.
• Negotiate with suppliers and logistics providers to optimise costs and lead times.
• Implement anti‑counterfeiting measures, serialisation, and cold‑chain temperature monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field; MBA or professional certifications (CIPS, APICS CSCP/CPIM) highly desirable.
• 7‑10+ years of supply chain experience, including 3‑5 years in a leadership role within pharmaceutical or FMCG healthcare in West Africa.
• Deep knowledge of West African import procedures, customs, ECOWAS trade dynamics, and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced inventory management platforms and cold‑chain logistics expertise.
