Supply Chain Associate - Oil & Gas Procurement

About the role

The Supply Chain Associate manages the complete procurement lifecycle for oil and gas clients, ensuring timely acquisition of equipment, materials and services. The role acts as a central coordination point between suppliers, logistics partners, inspection teams and internal stakeholders, aiming for competitive sourcing, strict delivery schedules and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, vet and select suppliers, OEMs and authorised distributors.
• Solicit, analyse and compare vendor quotations on cost, technical specs, quality assurance, lead times, delivery terms and payment conditions.
• Generate and process purchase orders, secure supplier acknowledgments, set delivery timelines and compile procurement documentation.
• Oversee the full order lifecycle, from requisition through sourcing, quality inspection, delivery and closure.
• Collaborate with vendors and logistics providers to track shipments and order status.
• Maintain accurate records of quotes, purchase orders, invoices, delivery notes and inspection reports.
• Organise pre- and post-delivery quality checks and handle delays or non-compliant goods.
• Facilitate new vendor onboarding, maintain approved vendor databases and monitor supplier performance, pricing and lead times.
• Partner with finance and operations on invoicing documentation and compliance with policies, client mandates and regulations.

Required profile

• Proven ability to achieve high on-time delivery rates and optimise procurement cycle times.
• Strong track record of securing cost savings through competitive pricing and negotiation.
• Demonstrated accuracy in order processing and fulfillment with minimal errors.
• Experience monitoring supplier performance and ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory standards.
• Ability to minimise rejected or non-conforming deliveries through quality control and vendor management.
