Student Counsellor / Admissions Officer

About the role

Community Trust Network is hiring a full-time Student Counsellor / Admissions Officer in Abuja. The role covers counselling prospective students on study destinations, courses and universities, guiding them through applications and visa procedures, and recruiting and converting leads into enrolments.

Key responsibilities

• Counsel prospective students on destinations, courses, universities, entry requirements, fees and application timelines, and guide them through applications, documentation, offer letters, tuition deposits and CAS.
• Prepare applications, personal statements and recommendation letters, review documents, submit them through authorised channels and track progress.
• Guide students through visa application procedures and financial requirements, and respond to enquiries by phone, WhatsApp, email and other approved channels.
• Contact prospects, follow up on enquiries, run recruitment campaigns, information sessions, webinars and referrals, and meet individual and team targets for consultations, applications, enrolments and visas.
• Maintain complete student records in the company's CRM, record calls and consultations, track deadlines and deposits, and report regularly on enquiries, applications and enrolments.
• Verify admissions information against official university sources, refer students to official sources for immigration advice, and collaborate with management and the marketing team to improve conversion rates.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline.
• 2-3 years of experience in admissions, visa processing or study abroad consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of visa and immigration procedures.
• Preferred: experience in a study abroad consultancy, processing UK, Canada, USA or Australia student visas, managing university admissions applications, and working with multiple partner institutions.

Required skills

• Good IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, email and online application portals; CRM experience is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation, communication, problem-solving, time management and customer service skills.
