Store Officer - Mechanical & Electrical Contractor

About the role

A leading multinational mechanical and electrical contracting company, recruited through eRecruiter, is hiring an experienced Store Officer in Lagos. The officer handles receiving, inspection and issuance of materials on site, as well as the accompanying documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure materials are received, offloaded, counted and arranged so they are easily accessible and traceable.
• Maintain regular inventory and stock reports and circulate them to stakeholders.
• Communicate material issuance on the ERP system to engineers on time and pass back issue notes for final approval.
• Load materials to the sites as per approved requisitions.
• Coordinate all activities at the site stores and maintain a high standard of health and safety.
• Carry out any other duties assigned from time to time.

Required profile

• Excellent working knowledge of store administration and inventory management.
• Excellent knowledge of electrical and mechanical items and of tools and materials management on site.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping.
• Teamwork, effective communication and numeric skills.
• Physically fit, able to work under pressure, take initiative and make certain decisions.

Required skills

• Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• ERP system usage for issuing materials.
