Stockbroker / Dealing Officer

About the role

You will buy and sell shares and bonds on the Nigerian Exchange for our clients, ensuring fast and error‑free execution. You will also manage a portfolio of individual, high‑net‑worth and corporate clients, keeping them informed and helping grow our trading business.

Key responsibilities

• Take client orders and execute trades on the NGX platform accurately and on time.
• Trade equities and support clients investing in FGN bonds, treasury bills and other fixed‑income products.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing clients and acquire new ones.
• Send daily market updates and regular portfolio reports to clients.
• Research listed companies and present clear investment ideas.
• Ensure all trades comply with SEC and NGX regulations and settle correctly through CSCS.
• Flag any suspicious activity to the compliance team immediately.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND (Second Class or Upper Credit) in finance, economics, accounting or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience on a dealing desk at an NGX‑licensed stockbroker.
• Chartered Stockbroker (CIS) qualification or advanced progress in CIS exams.
• Authorized Dealing Clerk of the NGX and able to be registered with the SEC (sponsorship provided).
• Clean trading and compliance record.
• Calm under pressure, strong numerical ability and clear communication of stock ideas.

Required skills

• Proficiency with NGX trading platform.
• Experience using Bloomberg or Refinitiv for market data.
• Advanced Excel for financial modelling.
• Familiarity with AI tools for investment analysis (bonus).
