Business Development – Equity Sales

About the role

The Business Development (Equity Sales) professional will sell equity products to institutional and retail clients, deliver market insights, and maintain strong client relationships. You will collaborate closely with Trading and Research teams to ensure clients receive top‑notch service and accurate market information.

Key responsibilities

• Originate deals and execute trade mandates for equity products.
• Provide financial and investment advice to clients and senior management.
• Generate new client relationships and profitably manage existing portfolios.
• Review equity transactions to ensure compliance with SEC regulations.
• Assist in compiling daily market updates, business headlines, weekly stock recommendations, and company results publications.
• Present market analysis and reports to clients.
• Deliver consistent daily coverage supported by the firm’s research capability.
• Utilize analytical models and market research tools to optimise execution and performance.
• Identify revenue opportunities and maintain confidentiality and data‑protection standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a stock‑broking firm.
• CIS certification is an advantage.
• Proven experience in deal origination and execution of trade mandates.
• Experience managing high‑net‑worth individuals (HNI) and institutional portfolios.
