STEM Facilitator – Hands‑On Learning for Youth

About the role

STEM METS Resources Limited is seeking a passionate STEM Facilitator to deliver engaging, hands‑on science, technology, engineering and mathematics workshops for children and young people in Lagos. This full‑time, on‑site position involves planning, facilitating and assessing interactive learning experiences that inspire curiosity and problem‑solving.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver age‑appropriate STEM lessons, experiments and projects.
• Prepare and set up all required materials and learning environments.
• Monitor participant progress, provide feedback and maintain records of outcomes.
• Collaborate with team members to refine curricula and develop new program content.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive classroom atmosphere and communicate regularly with parents or guardians.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge in at least one STEM discipline (science, technology, engineering or mathematics).
• Experience leading workshops or educational activities for children or youth.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Organizational and time‑management abilities for lesson planning and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, a STEM‑related field or a closely related discipline is preferred.
