Training Officer

About the role

The Training Officer will lead the development and delivery of comprehensive security training programs for newly recruited guards and existing staff. This role ensures that all personnel meet company standards and are prepared to handle a variety of security scenarios.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct orientation and induction training for new security personnel, covering policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Deliver regular refresher training on access control, gate management, visitor screening, patrolling, surveillance, incident response, fire safety, first aid, crowd control, and communication protocols.
• Provide site‑specific training before deployment, familiarising guards with client SOPs, emergency exits, vulnerable areas, and reporting procedures.
• Train supervisors on guard supervision, team management, incident investigation, duty allocation, and escalation.
• Develop written and practical assessments, conduct examinations, and maintain accurate training records.
• Create and update training manuals, lesson plans, SOPs, and presentations, incorporating practical exercises and simulations.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years experience in security training or related field.
• Degree in a related discipline.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Excellent organisational and record‑keeping skills.
• Leadership and interpersonal capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
