State Coordinator – Nutrition Program (Kaduna)

About the role

Evidence Action is seeking a State Coordinator for the SQ‑LNS nutrition program in Kaduna State. The role provides technical assistance to the state government, overseeing program planning, implementation, monitoring, and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the State Ministry of Health and other agencies to develop and implement an operational plan aligned with national guidelines.
• Organise and monitor training cascades for health workers at state, LGA and facility levels.
• Support supply‑chain protocols, forecasting, and distribution of SQ‑LNS commodities, flagging stockouts and bottlenecks.
• Facilitate community‑level IEC material distribution and engagement workshops.
• Oversee independent monitoring and coverage surveys, sharing findings with state officials and Evidence Action management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Health Sciences or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum five years of experience in nutrition or public‑health programming, preferably in Nigeria.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with government officials and development partners.
• Fluent in English and Hausa; ability to communicate in local languages.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using data tools for decision‑making, preferably DHIS2.
• Supply‑chain management for nutrition commodities, including forecasting and distribution.
• Facilitation of multi‑stakeholder workshops and training sessions.
