Star Development Coordinator

About the role

The Star Development Coordinator (SDC) will lead the end‑to‑end recruitment, training and onboarding of Jaza Stars – sales agents who will operate new OYO hubs in expanding rural locations. The SDC ensures that each recruit is competent, well‑trained and aligned with OYO’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Advertise open Jaza Star positions for new expansion sites and attract a qualified candidate pool.
• Manage the full recruitment cycle – from sourcing through interviewing to hiring – ensuring candidates meet interview and training criteria.
• Organise and conduct classroom and on‑site training sessions, identifying training gaps and updating materials in collaboration with QA Expansion Operations.
• Oversee onboarding actions: register new Jaza Stars on the Dashboard, set up Star App accounts, prepare contracts, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Monitor recruitment metrics and report progress to expansion leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any related field.
• Proven experience recruiting talent in rural or limited‑resource environments.
• Strong network within local communities and ability to leverage local job boards.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct in‑person interviews and assess both technical competence and cultural fit.
• Excellent planning, problem‑solving and relationship‑building skills.
