Specialist Mechanic – Asphalt Paver Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a Specialist Mechanic with extensive experience in maintaining Vögele asphalt pavers and related road‑construction equipment. The role involves ensuring equipment reliability, performing field repairs, and supporting our maintenance and operations team across construction sites in Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Vögele asphalt pavers and associated machinery.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports to guide repairs.
• Perform field repairs on construction sites and minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience with Vögele pavers (Wirtgen Group equipment preferred).
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electronic control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and service manuals.
• Experience in heavy construction or road‑building equipment maintenance.
• Technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
• Residence in Nigeria and willingness to work in field conditions.
