Sourcing Manager (IT Devices) & Cost Analyst

About the role

The Sourcing Manager (IT Devices) & Cost Analyst will lead the strategic procurement of IT equipment, devices, SIM cards and related services for Airtel Africa in Nigeria. The role combines sourcing, vendor management and cost‑efficiency analysis to ensure the right products are delivered at the right price, quality and lead‑time.

Key responsibilities

• Procure IT hardware, devices, SIM cards and services (CAPEX and OPEX), including managed services and annual maintenance contracts.
• Prepare and manage RFI/RFQ/RFP processes, analyse vendor responses and negotiate price, lead‑time and contract terms.
• Release OPEX purchase orders quarterly and oversee contract renewal for BPA/rate contracts.
• Conduct overall cost analytics, spend analysis, risk forecasting and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Develop, sign and renew contracts with new and existing vendors, ensuring compliance with SLA and performance reviews.
• Manage vendor relationships, performance monitoring and cost optimisation of passive projects.
• Lead administrative tasks such as purchase requisition creation, PO approval and coordination with the user group.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT procurement, vendor management and cost analysis, preferably within the telecom sector.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage both CAPEX and OPEX spend.
• Excellent analytical abilities to perform spend analysis, risk assessment and cost‑efficiency programmes.
• Capability to work cross‑functionally with finance, operations and technical teams.
