Network Technician (Entry Level)

About the role

The company is seeking an entry‑level Network Technician to join its IT & Telecom team in Lagos. The role involves installing, configuring and maintaining core network infrastructure while providing basic technical support to end users.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, access points and modems.
• Set up and maintain LAN, Wi‑Fi and other basic network connections.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues and diagnose basic computer hardware and software problems.
• Install and configure network cables, connectors and related equipment.
• Monitor network equipment, report faults or unusual activity and perform routine maintenance and testing.
• Assist with network upgrades, installations and equipment replacement, and provide basic technical support to users.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE/WAEC/NECO qualification; OND, NCE, HND or related technical qualification is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, networking concepts and internet connectivity.
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to learn, develop technical skills and work flexible hours when required.

Required skills

• Installation and troubleshooting of routers, switches, access points and network cables.
• Understanding of IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, LAN/WAN and basic network security.
• Familiarity with Wi‑Fi configuration and basic network performance monitoring.
• Optional certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
