Solvent Extraction Plant Operator

About the role

The operator will extract oil from prepared palm kernel cake, ensuring high quality and productivity in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the extractor feed hopper and sight glass to ensure free flow and proper material seal.
• Take dip samples from underground solvent tanks at shift start and end and report to supervisor.
• Monitor flowrate of miscella and hexane sprayer pump, as well as distillation and hexane recovery system parameters.
• Record indicator readings and quality‑control test results.
• Observe temperature, steam pressure gauges, flowmeters and ammeters, adjusting valves or hand wheels to maintain set points.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety Management System (FSMS) requirements.

• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
