Social Media Manager

About the role

DYB Africa is looking for a creative and results‑driven Social Media Manager to shape its online presence. You will produce and publish video‑focused content that highlights training programmes, student achievements and technology career pathways across multiple platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute social‑media strategies to boost brand awareness, student enrollment and community engagement.
• Create, shoot, edit and publish short‑form video content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and other channels.
• Produce educational and promotional material covering technology, digital skills, software development, data science, cybersecurity, UI/UX design and related academy programmes.
• Feature student success stories, testimonials, project showcases, graduation highlights and academy events.
• Maintain a content calendar and ensure consistent, strategic publishing.
• Monitor channels, respond to comments and messages, and nurture an active online community.
• Track performance metrics, prepare regular reports and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with facilitators, students and management to capture engaging content and support marketing campaigns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Digital Media, Communications or a related field.
• Successful completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
• Proven experience managing social‑media platforms and creating high‑performing video content.
• Strong storytelling, content planning and communication abilities.
• Interest in technology, education, innovation and youth development.
• Portfolio showcasing social‑media content and video‑editing projects.

Required skills

• Video editing tools: CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve.
• Content creation for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn.
• Social‑media platform management and analytics.
