Social Media Manager and Content Creator

About the role

GeekHub is looking for a Social Media Manager and Content Creator to manage the brand's social presence and create content daily. The role is fully remote but requires attending scheduled events, and covers content strategy, creation, community growth, paid ads, email newsletters and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Build and run a content strategy around four brand pillars (leadership, mentorship, public speaking and lifestyle), plan a monthly calendar and define the target audience for each platform
• Create, edit and publish original content daily, including copy, photos, graphics, carousels and short-form video for Reels, TikTok and LinkedIn
• Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini Pro, Google Flow, Higgsfield, Runway, InVideo, HeyGen) to research, script, generate images and edit content, and check all output for accuracy, tone and originality
• Cover speaking engagements, mentorship sessions and events with photos and video, post live updates and publish recaps within 48 hours
• Grow followers organically, reply to comments and DMs, build online communities, run contests and campaigns, and propose collaborations
• Plan and run launch campaigns for digital products, manage sponsored ads on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and Google, build simple sales funnels and track ad spend and conversions
• Write, design and send the email newsletter and grow the email list
• Track analytics and submit a monthly report on growth, engagement, campaign results and ad performance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in content creation and social media management
• Experience with personal brands, thought leaders or public figures is an advantage
• Living in Gwarimpa, Life Camp or its environs is preferred

Required skills

• Strong content writing, copywriting and video editing (CapCut, InShot, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
• Hands-on use of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini Pro, Google Flow and strong prompting skills
• Motion graphics and explainer videos with AI tools (Higgsfield, Runway, InVideo, HeyGen)
• Sponsored ads on Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok or Google, and email marketing tools such as Mailchimp or Brevo
• Good photography and mobile video shooting skills
