Social Media & Content Manager

About the role

ATAfrica is looking for a passionate Social Media & Content Manager to develop, implement and manage its social media strategy and content creation. The role covers creating compelling content across social platforms, engaging the audience and driving brand awareness and customer engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop social channel-specific strategies and objectives supporting the team's goals and business priorities
• Manage social content production for communications goals and campaigns
• Communicate the company's mission and vision through the brand's voice and tone
• Leverage social media as part of integrated marketing campaigns with the social team and global communications team
• Monitor industry trends and recommend activities that drive brand awareness and engagement
• Track social media metrics, create monthly reports and turn data into actionable insights
• Evaluate new and existing channels and create compelling stories for target audiences
• Collaborate with agencies and consultants, and partner with the Global Communications team on communication initiatives
• Analyse the impact of communications initiatives and support the External Communications, Content & Social Media Lead on issues communications

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
• Proven experience in social media management, external communications, public relations, content development or similar roles
• Creative storyteller able to turn complex information into a compelling narrative
• Strategic mindset, strong relationship-building skills and a continuous learning approach

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Reddit
• Experience moderating and building advocacy on community social platforms
• Proficiency in social media and marketing tools and content creation tools
