Slitting Machine Operator

About the role

The Slitting Machine Operator will join the production team at Addoz Integrated Resources Limited, ensuring that large rolls of packaging film are accurately slit into specified widths and sizes. This full‑time, onsite position requires a focus on safety, efficiency, and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Set up slitting machines according to job specifications and production requirements.
• Load and position film rolls correctly, adjusting speed, tension, and cutting width.
• Operate the machine to slit large rolls into the required dimensions while monitoring quality.
• Inspect finished rolls for defects, correct width, and proper winding.
• Troubleshoot common machine and production issues to minimise waste and downtime.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate production records and report faults promptly.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams.
• Adhere to safety standards and meet daily production targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of proven experience operating slitting machines.
• Experience in flexible packaging, polythene, nylon, plastic, or film manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of quality control and roll inspection.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
• Relevant technical qualification or certification is an advantage.
