Laminator Operator

About the role

The Laminator Operator is responsible for running and monitoring lamination equipment to produce high‑quality laminated films for flexible packaging. The role requires strict adherence to safety standards while meeting daily production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Set up lamination machines according to job specifications and production requirements.
• Load films and packaging materials, adjust speed, temperature, tension, and adhesive application.
• Monitor the lamination process to ensure consistent bonding and product quality.
• Inspect laminated materials for defects such as bubbles, wrinkles, delamination, or uneven adhesive.
• Troubleshoot common machine and production issues to minimise waste and downtime.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate production records and report faults promptly.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and meet daily production targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of proven experience operating lamination machines.
• Experience in flexible packaging, polythene, nylon, plastic, or film manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of lamination processes, machine setup, adhesive application, and material handling.
• Ability to work under pressure, maintain attention to detail, and uphold quality and safety standards.
• Relevant technical qualification or certification is an added advantage.
