Site Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Site Engineer to oversee construction activities on‑site in Ikoyi, Lagos. The role involves ensuring projects are delivered according to specifications, timelines, quality standards and safety regulations while collaborating with project teams, contractors and consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities and ensure work follows approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates on site activities.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors and site workers for efficient execution.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards.
• Review technical drawings, plans and specifications to support construction work.
• Assist in resolving technical issues encountered on‑site.
• Ensure proper utilization of materials, equipment and resources.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports and project documentation.
• Monitor adherence to project schedules and flag delays or risks.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical input as required.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental regulations on‑site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in site engineering, construction supervision or a similar role.
• Good understanding of construction methods, materials and site operations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or related engineering software (preferred).
