Signage Artist

About the role

The Signage Artist will create and install a variety of visual displays for clients, ranging from indoor banners to outdoor billboards. You will work closely with designers, sales staff and clients to bring brand concepts to life.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce signs, banners, vehicle branding and other promotional displays using CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Prepare artwork files for printing, cutting, engraving and other production processes.
• Operate signage production equipment such as printers, plotters, vinyl cutters and laminators.
• Cut, mount, laminate, paint and finish signage products made from acrylic, PVC, aluminium composite panels, vinyl and foam board.
• Measure installation sites, select appropriate materials and install indoor and outdoor signs safely and professionally.
• Maintain tools, machines and work areas, and estimate material requirements to minimise waste.

Required profile

• SSCE or relevant training in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Arts or a related field.
• At least 24 months of experience in signage production, graphic design or advertising.
• Portfolio of previous signage or design work.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Practical knowledge of vinyl cutting, printing, laminating and mounting techniques.
• Ability to operate signage printers, plotters and related production equipment.
