Senior Technical Trainer - AI / DevOps

About the role

A partner company is looking for a Senior Technical Trainer based in Nigeria to teach engineers how to use AI agents, coding assistants and modern AI tools in real infrastructure and automation work. The role combines hands-on DevOps expertise with teaching, working with a curriculum team and technical educators to design lessons, write video scripts and build hands-on labs. It starts with a paid course project of about three months, with possible ongoing projects or a full-time position, and is fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop technical courses on AI for DevOps, defining structure, learning objectives, lesson sequences and practical lab exercises
• Create video scripts and narrate lessons in English, keeping them clear and engaging
• Write detailed lab specifications, test labs, and record demonstrations and walkthroughs
• Work with curriculum and production teams, incorporating editorial feedback and taking part in weekly syncs via tools such as Slack

Required profile

• Hands-on DevOps and infrastructure experience, translating real engineering workflows into learning materials
• Current practical experience with AI tools such as AI agents, coding assistants and LLM-based automation
• Teaching experience: courses, tutorials, talks, workshops, mentoring or community sharing
• Excellent written and spoken English, confident on camera, with strong storytelling skills
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and work remotely with a distributed team
• Advantage: published online courses, conference speaking, community roles (e.g. CNCF Ambassador, AWS Community Builder, Microsoft MVP), or Kubernetes and cloud certifications

Required skills

• Linux, containers, Kubernetes, at least one major cloud platform, CI/CD and infrastructure as code
• Building, operating and maintaining infrastructure
